About the RSC Library Catalog

What's in the RSC Library Catalog

The local catalog the of Rose State College library is a database containing records of information about our collection of books, periodicals, maps, microforms, audio-visual, multimedia, and electronic materials. The RSC Library Catalog is updated continually as materials are ordered, received, and cataloged by a team of librarians and library technicians under the direction of the coordinator of Library Technical Services at Rose State College.

RSC Library Catalog availability

The local catalog is available to all 24 hours a day, everyday, with the exception of regular backups and occasional maintenance. Backups and maintenance of the database and its library systems are scheduled so that they have as little impact on system availablity during library hours as possible.

Best Browsers to use with the RSC Library Catalog

The best browsers to use with the local catalog are those able to display Unicode characters which are necessary to view special characters and character sets. The catalog uses popups and some active content, such as script and ActiveX controls, in certain places. Some browsers, toolbars (like Google Toolbar), and Internet security softwares block such content. Be sure to configure your browser to allow popups and active content when using the local catalog.

Library information technology support for the RSC Library Catalog

The RSC Library Catalog database uses the Voyager integrated library system (ILS) software from Ex Libris Group. The database is located at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater on shared computer servers with several Oklahoma A&M Libraries.

Questions, comments and issues about the RSC Library Catalog and its web site may be address to the
Voyager systems administrator.
